Who am I?

I solve complex problems and love a challenge.

Hi, I’m Diana (but I just go by ‘D’). I help organizations design the future by connecting strategy to the human side of experiences. When I’m not at my desk you’ll find me out in the surf, exploring the world, or trying a new outdoor activity.

Life-long learner

With a background in Informatics and a Master’s in Interactive Multimedia, I work at the intersection of technology, human behavior, and design.

My career began in interaction design, expanded into research to understand how people engage with products, and evolved into service and systems design to shape end-to-end experiences. Along the way, I also deepened my expertise in psychology, human factors, and behavior design.

Today, I use that foundation to set vision, guide organizations in human-centered design, and help teams achieve outcomes with honesty, integrity, and autonomy.

What else have I done?

Experiments

The DSB commenced ‘experiments’ as a government collaboration with industry to explore speculative CDR propositions.

I co-led two experiments to evaluate how the existing CDR framework could facilitate and improve consumer bank account origination and energy switching.

The experiment reports detail the issues, opportunities, findings and insights generated.

Consumer Experience (CX) Standards

I led the creation, execution, and analysis of research studies that directly informed standards development, integrating community feedback on proposed standards and draft rules.

NN/g Publication

A quantitative research study I crafted at ResMed was featured as a case study in Nielsen Norman Group's (NN/g) UX Metrics and ROI report. The study used a survey to demonstrate that a visual redesign of an app improved alignment with brand values.

2019 Good Design Gold Award: Design Strategy

Through Tobias, I co-led the Design Studio at BPAY Group that identified the opportunity for and designed BPAY Batchmaker end-to-end, a 0→1 batch payments product listed on the QuickBooks App Store. This work was a core element of a design-led corporate transformation recognized with a 2019 Australian Good Design Award (Gold) in Design Strategy.

Conference Presentations

I’ve given various speeches over the years covering relevant topics in Service Design, Agile, Mobile, and UX Design.
